#Revman 5 update
This workshop is aimed at review authors with experience in the use of RevMan and who feel that they need a refresher or an update on the features of the software. An additional feature is that a 'backup' copy of a review can be created within Archie while keeping the review checked out.ĭuring this session participants will be able to get hands-on experience using the new features. The latest version of RevMan also includes a new review type, 'Flexible reviews', which can be used as a template for other review types, e.g. Reference IDs have been increased from 25 to 50 characters. You should not see any interface with Cochrane login or the Cochrane server. This will bring up the new review wizard and you can then write your review and save it to your computer.

When RevMan 5 opens, click on the blank page icon in the top left-hand corner. It is now possible to include the 'Risk of bias' (RoB) summary table in forest plots. On a Mac: visit RevMan 5 menu > Preferences > General > enable 'Non-Cochrane mode'. Guidance to authors about MECIR (Methodological Expectations of Cochrane Intervention Reviews) is available in RevMan 5.3. The latest version, RevMan 5.3, has been updated with a host of new and improved features.
